Oakley Station, Center of Cincinnati

Vandercar acquired the site of Cincinnati Milling Machine's Cincinnati/Oakley plants (formerly known as the Millworks site) in 2011. This 74-acre site is the home of the new Oakley Station which is located in the heart of the City of Cincinnati and is the former home of the historic industrial tooling company - once the engine of the United States' World War efforts and the largest machine tool company in the world. Over the course of the last two decades the Oakley property had fallen dormant and held more than 1.6 million square feet of deteriorated, obsolete and dormant industrial buildings.

Full demolition and environmental remediation of the property was completed in 2012 to make way for a new, vibrant mixed-use redevelopment that will include residential, retail, entertainment, and office components. Vandercar would like to thank its development partners and the City of Cincinnati, which assisted the project in securing funding to aid in the demolition and remediation portion of the project through the State of Ohio's Brownfields Redevelopment program. The City of Cincinnati also completed the $30 million Kennedy Connector road construction project that greatly improved access to the development and the surrounding area. The Kennedy connector project was fully funded through local and federal highway funds.
